Ιδρύθηκε το 2006 και είναι ένας μη κερδοσκοπικός πολιτιστικός οργανισμός αφιερωμένος στην προώθηση όλων των μορφών πολιτισμού, ιδιαίτερα της λογοτεχνίας και της χρήσης της γλώσσας. Είναι μια πλατφόρμα ουσιαστικής πολιτιστικής ανταλλαγής μεταξύ κυπριακού και διεθνούς πολιτισμού. Το νησί βρίσκεται σε μοναδική θέση στο σταυροδρόμι της Ευρώπης, της Ασίας και της Αφρικής και ως μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, που βρίσκεται στο νοτιοανατολικό σύνορό της, προσφέρεται εποικοδομητικά σαν μέσο για αυξημένη αλληλεπίδραση και διαπολιτισμικό διάλογο μεταξύ της Ευρώπης, της λεκάνης της Μεσογείου και της Εγγύς Ανατολής.

Ένας από τους κύριους στόχους του Ιδεογράμματος είναι ο σεβασμός και η στήριξη όλων των γλωσσών και διαλέκτων (και κατ’ επέκτασιν των ανθρώπων που τις μιλούν), γιατί όπως υπενθυμίζει ο Luis Aragon, «Η λογοτεχνία είναι μια σοβαρή υπόθεση. Είναι πρώτα απ' όλα το πρόσωπο ενός λαού». Ενθαρρύνει ενεργά όλους τους συγγραφείς και ποιητές να διαβάζουν στην πρωτότυπη γλώσσα, προσκαλώντας το κοινό να συμμετάσχει όπως όταν ακούει μουσική. Μόλις ο ήχος μιας γλώσσας γίνει οικείος, δεν είναι πλέον απειλητικός και φέρνει τον ομιλητή και τον ακροατή πιο κοντά, δημιουργώντας δεσμούς.

Το Ιδεόγραμμα ιδρύθηκε και διευθύνεται από τη Λίλη Μιχαηλίδου (ποιήτρια, πεζογράφο, project manager) και τη Νόρα Χατζησωτηρίου (marketing & δημόσιες σχέσεις, project management).

Τα πιο κάτω διεθνή φεστιβάλ καθώς και το διεθνές Poetry Slam Cyprus, έχουν γίνει θεσμός και πρωτοδιοργανώθηκαν ως ακόλούθως:

Lily Michaelides lives in Nicosia where she works and creates.

Her third poetic collection Remembrance of a Dawn, was presented at the Nehru Centre in London in May 2004, and

Her fourth prose narratives, Him … stories of men, was presented in London by the Cyprus High Commission.

Poetry and Music Two poetic events on the occasion of the painting exhibition of the Greek artist Asteris Gekas, at ARTos Foundation, Nicosia	April 2013
Vivid Poetry Allios, a poetry performance Sole organiser of the event, in collaboration with the Dpt of Applied Arts of the Frederick University, Cyprus. Four Cypriot poets, two based in London UK (AlevAdil and John Michael Mouskos) and two based in Cyprus (PambosKouzalis and Lily Michaelides) came together. Each poet created two poetic actions (involving graphics, music, theatre, dance, filming) and all together created a unified performance. The Arts dpt created a series of 43 posters based on the poems which were exhibited for a week.	12 March 2012
